Corporate Engagement is one of the many great ways to get involved with YouthBuild Lake County! We are always looking for committed companies who are passionate about supporting the youth in our community and are looking to partner with us to give back! We offer an array of volunteer opportunities to get you and your co-workers/employees involved.
Corporate Service Projects
Engage your company in corporate service projects with YouthBuild Lake County to create meaningful community impact while providing practical learning experiences for our participants. These projects can range from community clean-ups and construction projects to organizing events and offering mentorship. Partnering on these projects highlights your commitment to social responsibility and showcases your company’s role as a community leader.
Work Experience Site
By becoming a work experience site, your company can play a pivotal role in the professional development of YouthBuild Lake County participants. You’ll provide real-world job training opportunities, allowing participants to apply classroom knowledge in practical settings. Mock Interviews
Participate in our mock interview sessions and provide YBLC participants with the opportunity to practice and refine their interview skills. Your involvement offers them realistic interview experiences, crucial feedback, and confidence-building practice. By contributing to these sessions, you demonstrate your dedication to workforce development and support the growth of the next generation of professionals.
Vocational Tours
Invite YouthBuild Lake County participants to your workplace for a vocational tour, giving them an inside look at your industry and the careers it offers. These tours are a fantastic way to broaden participants’ understanding of different vocational paths and the skills needed to succeed. By showcasing your company’s operations and engaging with our youth, you help them make informed career choices and ignite their passion for potential career fields.
Sponsorships
Become an event sponsor for YouthBuild Lake County’s annual Spring Benefit and align your company with a cause that transforms lives. Corporate Matching
The most impactful way your company can directly get involved with YBLC is through a 3 week work experience internship. These internships not only help our participants build their resumes, but are real-world learning experiences outside the classroom. These experiences are often the most impactful component of YBLC’s workforce development.
