Record Breaking 2022 Spring Benefit: All In For YouthBuild Raises $247,000 For Programming

YouthBuild Lake County raised over $247,000 at its 17th annual fundraising event, All in for YouthBuild on May 21, 2022. “It was so great to see our donors back in person for the first time in 15 months,” says Tameka Wilson, Executive Director of YouthBuild Lake County. “Our guests really appreciated the opportunity to gather with their friends while supporting the mission of YBLC.”

Over 200 guests arrived for the evening at Loft 21 in Lincolnshire for the roaring twenties themed event. Guests played casino and party games, followed by a live auction and mission moment featuring a video interview with two YBLC alumni. The night concluded with a DJ and dancing.

Students and alumni from the program mingled with guests while participating in a scavenger hunt designed to give our students a fun and interactive way to talk with guests.  State Senator Adriane Johnson and Waukegan Mayor Ann Taylor were two of the 200+ participants who helped make the event possible.

Significant sponsors of this year’s event included R&W Machine Division Warner Industries Inc., P&G, Zoro, Blinderman Construction, Jelly Belly Candy Company and First Midwest Bank, a division of Old National Bank.

First Midwest Bank was also the recipient of the Partner in Service Award, which was accepted by Board member Bill Almond. Liebman served on the Board of Directors for 11 years and as the Chairman for three of those years. “It’s hard to describe how flattered I am to have been honored for doing what I love to do, by such a transformative organization as YBLC,” says Liebman. “I’ll continue to work hard on behalf of the motivated young adults served by YBLC, so that they achieve their school, college and job dreams and provide for themselves and their families.”

All proceeds of this event directly support the programs offered.
